JROTC BUCCANEER BATTALION PATCH
The JROTC Buccaneer Battalion patch was designed by two students from South View High School in the year 2001. This was the year Jack Britt High School opened its doors to its first class of students. Jack Britt pulled students from South View, Douglas Byrd, and 71st high school districts to form its first graduating class of 2001. The Buccaneer Battalion Patch includes an arc across the top with our school name and mascot, Jack Britt Buccaneers. The middle of the patch includes the torch of knowledge ,which is the symbol of JROTC, with our mascot in the center. Surrounding the torch of knowledge are three stars, each symbolizing the three high schools that contributed to Jack Britt High Schools first class of students. The top left star is black and orange representing South View High School, the top right star is red and gold representing Douglas Byrd High School, and the bottom star is red and silver representing 71st high school.
